Product Care

Now that you've decided on your favorite items, here's a few tips to getting the most enjoyment from your handcrafted products.

Soap Care

  • Your soap will last longest if you store it on a well-drained soap dish and allow it to dry between uses.
  • Using a cotton soap saver pouch, washcloth or loofah can extend the life of your soap. Soap saver pouches are available for purchase on our website.
  • Store unused soap in a dark, dry place at room temperature (like a linen closet).
  • Excessive heat, light, and moisture are not soap-friendly.
  • Use your new soap within six months of purchase for the best quality.

Bath & Body Product Care

  • Keep unused portions of bath and body products away from water and out of the shower/tub area.
  • Store unused items in a dark, dry place at room temperature (like a linen closet).
  • Excessive heat, light, and moisture are not friendly to your bath and body products and can degrade the quality quickly.
  • Use your new items within six months of purchase for the best quality.
  • If your item is packaged in a bottle or jar PLEASE UPCYCLE AND REUSE!  These bottles and jars have been specifically chosen for their ability to be easily upcycled and kept out of landfills. If you are located in our area we will happily take back our bottles and jars. Other items have been packaged in eco-friendly paper and cellophane that is biodegradable. Please compost or recycle wherever possible.

 Candle Care

  • Trim wick to 1/8 - 1/4 inch before lighting for the first time.
  • Keep wick trimmed to 1/8 - 1/4 inch at all times to avoid black smoke and residue and always remove wick debris from candle prior to burning.
  • Burn on a flat, stable, fireproof surface. Candle containers, especially candle tins, may become hot. We recommend putting candles, especially those in metal tins, on a heat resistant coaster. Always handle with care!
  • Light your candle for 2-4 hours the first time to get an even burn throughout.
  • To ensure safety, do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Extinguish if the flame becomes too high or if flickering repeatedly.
  • Never leave candles unattended or in the reach of children or pets.
  • Do not place near flammable objects such as curtains, walls, bedding, papers, etc. Avoid burning in drafts such as open windows, ceiling fans, and air currents.
  • Extinguish all candles when leaving a room or going to sleep.
  • Never extinguish candles with water. The water can cause the hot wax to splatter and might cause the container to break.
  • Discontinue using the candle when about 1/2 inch of wax remains.
  • Please upcycle your candle containers!

Wax Melts, Tarts, and Snap Bars

  • Only use an approved UL listed electric warmer or tea-light warmer.
  • Place your wax melt warmer in a safe, stable situation, away from drafts and anything flammable and also well out of the reach of children or pets.
  • Do not add water or any other substance to your wax melts.
  • Do not heat wax melts on stove.
  • Never leave warmer unattended.
  • Warmer trays may become hot, handle with care!
  • Re-use soy wax melts until no fragrance is released.
  • For easier clean up, a wax melt liner may be used. They are available for purchase on our website.
